Memory training exercises
Every day, a business person faces many tasks that need to be resolved correctly and on time. And how much you need to keep in mind! If at least one important detail is forgotten, then there is a big risk that everything will go awry – after all, in business and management everything is interconnected. Is it possible to train your memory so that it never fails? Of course yes! Exercises for remembering and attention are almost like training your body: in order to achieve results, classes should be systematic, and the load should be optimal.
There are a lot of ways to train memory. They are developed by doctors, and psychologists, and just creative scientists. The effectiveness of each of the methods will be individual, so it is important to try as many exercises on yourself as possible to find exactly “your own”. And if you periodically alternate them, then your memory and ability to concentrate attention will improve even more.

Exercise 1. Return attention
Sit comfortably and try to relax your muscles. Select an item. If it is small, you can take it in your hand. Start to examine it very carefully. Peer into the details, in every millimeter of this subject. Imagine that you were given the task of drawing this object as accurately as possible to the original, but from memory. Completely “turn off” the brain so that it is not distracted by extraneous thoughts and focuses only on the subject, you will most likely fail the first time. But as soon as you feel that the attention has begun to dissipate, return it to the subject in question again. Each time you return your attention, change the viewing angle. This exercise takes about 10 minutes.
Exercise 2. See bright
We continue to work with the subject (so as not to be bored, each time choose a new one). Start looking at the subject, also trying to abstract away from other thoughts. But as soon as you get distracted, at least a little, immediately close your eyes and try to visualize your subject inside yourself in the brightest color. Repeat several times. At that moment when you are trying to remember an object in detail, you also give it a bright color, the brain receives a kind of shake and starts to work more actively.
Exercise 3. Elements of a single whole
For the exercise you need to pick a picture. It should be pleasant to your eyes and quite saturated. This may be some kind of illustration from a children’s book, as they are usually bright and have many elements. For a few minutes, consider the entire picture completely, trying to perceive it as one. Then mentally break it into separate parts, for example, into 4 or 6. And alternately examine each of the parts, trying to remember all the details. When concentrating on one part, do not look at the other. After you have mentally analyzed all parts of the picture, again return to consider it as one. The second time you examine the entire picture, you will see on it those details that you did not notice during the first examination.
Exercise 4. Synaesthesia
Synaesthesia is a phenomenon in which a person associates the perception of one phenomenon with a feeling. This is quite interesting: for example, each word for synaesthete has its own specific smell, and when he hears a sound, an association with a certain color appears in his head. Try to develop such a perception in yourself. What smells red? And what is the taste of the letter “p”? By linking your inner sensations to visual objects, you will make the brain root them stronger in memory. Consequently, visual memory will develop.
Exercise 5. Complex Ornaments
Everything that does not have a clear structure and repeating logic is much more difficult to remember. In order to develop the ability to remember better, it is necessary to train on such things. Try the following exercise. Take a stone on which there are many chaotic veins and cracks. Marble or malachite is perfect, but if you did not find such stones, you can simply download their photo in high resolution. Take a sheet of paper and a pen and begin to redraw the pattern on the stone in as much detail as possible. It will be quite difficult, since each smallest element is different from the other. After you finish, take a blank sheet and try to draw the same pattern, but only from memory. At the first attempt, an exact copy of the stone you will not succeed, but each time you will notice that you are getting better.
